My story

Kia Ora!

I’m Anna, mum of two teenage boys and an experienced photographer on Auckland’s North Shore. I love how my camera allows me to capture moments, freeze them in time and document the journey – whether business or personal. 

Originally from Poland, I fell in love with Aotearoa during a road trip a few years back and decided to make it my family’s permanent home in 2017. This is the best decision ever!

I’ve been perfecting my photography for most of my life as well as providing stock images to photography websites, and New Zealand has given me the chance to turn my lifelong passion into my career. Anna Jackowska Photography was born in 2019, and it’s given me a new lease of life. What’s that saying? ‘Find a job that you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.’ This is so true! I feel like I’m living the dream, and this is just the beginning. 

Friends and family often remark on how calm and composed I am, and this shows in my photography. I pride myself on my approachable, personalised service, and I always take the time to get to know my clients or their business. I find that this is the most effective way to achieve those treasured family photos or all-important business shots.

Since starting my photography business, no two days are the same. One day you’ll find me down the beach on a family photo session, while the next, I’ll be at a fashion shoot or in my cosy home studio taking shots of products or people. I’m learning new skills every day and meeting new friends along the way. From families to festivities, interiors to ice cream, my camera is at the ready with the latest photography equipment. Life is a journey… live it, savour it and preserve it.
